Visa Transfer & Extension
Visa Transfer
1. You should bring these documents to the immigration office within 14 days after you start teaching at
your new school.
2. You need to book an appointment at https://www.hikorea.go.kr/Main.pt to book your visit.
3. If you can¡¯t book a date online, go to the immigration office at 3:30pm on a weekday and get a waiting ticket.
You can usually get immigration service on that day.
4. When you add a school on your visa, the hour from the second school should not exceed 30% of the first school
which sponsors your visa.

Required documents from teachers
1. Passport
2. ARC card
3. Application Form(Download Form)
1) If you don't know the previous school business registration number you can leave it blank.
2) Check alteration for change of work place and put down starting date for date of alteration.
3) Put down your name for reporter and sign next to it.
4. An original release letter from your previous school. (If you didn¡¯t finish your contract)
5. 130000won (Visa transfer fee) only when you change your visa from D10 to E2.
6. Foreigner Occupation and Annual Income Report (Download)
7. Certificate Income ¼Òµæ±Ý¾×Áõ¸í (You can get this from your previous school.)
8. Income tax payment record ±Ù·Î¼Òµæ¿øõ¡¼öºÎ (You can get this from your previous school.)

1. Signed contract with both parties¡¯ signatures
2. A copy of school business registration
3. School operating paper
4. Your schedule at school
5. Letter of employment
6. Status of school
7. Labor Income Withholding Receipt
8. Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation (Download Form)

Visa Extension
1.You need to make an application to extend your visa/ARC prior to the expiration of your current one.
Processing time: 2~3 weeks
2. Application can be done either in person or online.

13. Housing rental contract (one among the following).
1) If you live in the housing your school provided, you have to bring Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation
2) If the studio is rented in your name, you have to bring the housing rental contract.
3) If the studio is rented in someone else¡¯s name, you have to bring Confirmation of Residence/Accommodation + copy
of tenant¡¯s ID (both sides)
